Engr. Prince Olumayowa Ayodeji Idowu was born into Jiboso dynasty of Agura Kingdom, Abeokuta, Ogun State over three (3) decades ago. Due to his strong interest in impacting knowledge that he had gained in Engineering discipline to the next generation of Engineers, he underwent Postgraduate Diploma in Education at Uthman Dan Fodio University Sokoto to sharpen his teaching skills after bagging his first degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

In addition to his undergraduate degree and Postgraduate Diploma qualifications, Engr. Idowu also holds Master of Science degree in Information Technology. He is currently, pursuing additional higher degree in Communication and Digital Signal at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Engr. Olumayowa Idowu is an alumni of Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) – Mandela Washington Fellowship Program, a corporate member of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE),  National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), Fellow Institute of Policy Management and Development (IPMD), Registered Member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and Registered Engineer with Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN). As an academician, Engr. Idowu has many published peer-reviewed articles in local and international journals, actively participated and presented at local as well as International conferences and meetings.

He currently works at Abeokuta station of the Africa’s Largest TV Network, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) where he provides technical input and expertise to operational and programme activities of the station. Worthy of note is his contributions to effective digital media platforms of the 40years Old TV Station, which has earned him 3 consecutive corporate commendations and staff of the year award.

Engr. Idowu has positively impacted the Abeokuta branch of NSE, diligently focusing on the professional needs and welfare of her members with immense support from other branch executive members, which has produced outstanding result for the branch ranking 1st in the NSE Welfare Competition in 2018 and 2019.
