PROFILE OF ENGR. FELIX OBIORA NWANKWO, FNSE, FNICE
I am Engr. Felix Obiora Nwankwo, a holder of B.Sc (Civil) Hons 1985, M.Sc (Civil) 1988, MBA 2014, a corporate member of NSE (1992), Fellow (NSE) 2006, Fellow (NICE) 2014 and COREN Registered Engineer, 1996. I had my Secondary School Education at Merchants of Light Secondary School, Oba in Anambra State and University Education at Feati University, Philippines. My post graduate studies was at University of Philippines, Philippines where I obtained a Masters Degree in Civil (Structures) and in 2014 I further completed an Executive MBA.
- I returned back to Nigeria in 1988 for my N.Y.S.C program and I did my primary assignment at Government Technical College, Orozo. At the completion of my N.Y.S.C Programme in 1989, I secured an employment with FCDA, Department of Engineering Services as Engr. I, in 1989 where I am still working and have risen to the rank of Director Satellite Towns Development Department. I have supervised various projects since my employment with FCDA starting from Engr. I till date. At present, I am in charge of planning and supervision of the provision of infrastructure facilities to Satellite Towns within the Federal Capital Territory. Listed below are some of the projects supervised in the last 30 years of my service.
- Supervision of Design of Tertiary Roads
- Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) of consultancy services for some Secondary Roads and Primary highways.
- CRE of Rehabilitation of Karu-Karshi Road.
- CRE of the Construction of some Tertiary Road Network.
- Preparation of Tender Documents
- Membership of Tender Analysis Committees
- Preparation of Divisional Budgets
- CRE of the Construction of Landfill site in FCT.
- CRE of the Construction of Ring Road II from ISEX to OSEX junction
- CRE of the Design of Pedestrian Bridges
- CRE of the Rehabilitation and Expansion of ONEX Lot II project
- CRE of the Rehabilitation and Expansion of OSEX
- Deputy Director, City Infrastructure (Regional) Division.
- Director, Satellite Towns Development Department.
- I obtained my Corporate Membership of NSE in 1992, and subsequently had my COREN registration in 1996. In 2006, I was conferred with the fellowship award of NSE at our AGM in Abeokuta and a fellowship award from NICE a Division of NSE in 2014. I have been an active member of Abuja branch and have served the society in the following capacities.

- My hobbies are Reading, Lawn Tennis and Table Tennis. I am happily married to Mrs. Obiageli N. Nwankwo (nee Onwuama) and the marriage is blessed with three children.
MISSION STATEMENT
Projecting good image of the society, recovery of our jobs from the hands of quacks, giving engineering jobs to engineers, improving the technical knowledge of members and proper placement of Engineers in the scheme of things in the larger Nigerian Society and assisting the President of our great Society to achieve his program.
