I am Engr. Ebere Peter Canicius Ononiwu, a holder of B.Eng. (Civil) Hons 2001, M.Eng. (Civil) In
veiw, a corporate member of NSE (2012), Member (NIWE) 2019 and COREN Registered Engineer,
2013, I had my Secondary School Education at Christ The King Secondary School, Obike in Imo
State and I had my Degree from Federal University of Technology Owerri. My post graduate studies
was at Federal University of Technology Owerri. where I am undergoing a Masters Degree in Civil
(Structures) since 2008, awaiting my final defense.
In 2008 after undergoing a one year medical treatment as a result of Auto crash, I did my N.Y.S.C
program and I did my primary assignment at Imo State Ministry of Works , Owerri. At the
completion of my N.Y.S.C Programme in 2009, I secured an employment with AIRBDA,
Department of Engineering as Civil Engr. I, in 2001 where I am still working and have risen to the
rank of Principal Civil Engineer. In Engineering Department. I have designed and supervised
various projects since my employment with AIRBDA (Anambra Imo River Basin Development
Authority) starting from Civil Engr. I till date. At present, I am in Construction and Supervision
Division responsible for the provision of infrastructure facilities to Communities and Towns within
the States in Southeast.

Confidence Bernard-Ononiwu (nee Bernard) and the marriage is blessed with children.

As a Passionate Vibrant Engineer, I am committed to Accountability and Transparency. Projecting
good image of The Nigerian Society of Engineers, while ensuring Equity and adherence to the
guiding rules and laws, recovery of our jobs from the hands of quacks and giving them to Engineers,
improving the technical knowledge of members and proper placement of Engineers in their work
places and scheme of things in the larger Nigerian Nation and assisting the President and Exco of our
great Nigerian Society of Engineers to achieve her goals.
