Engr. Fidelis Jonathan Ukeh was born on the 28th November, 1976. He hails from Benue State in North-Central Nigeria. He attended L.G.E.A Primary School, Ibi and thereafter proceeds to the prestigious Government Science School, kum, Jos, Plateau State where he graduated in 1997. In 2004, he was awarded the Bachelor of Engineering by the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, (ATBU) Bauchi where he studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. He performed the mandatory National Youth Service Program in Tai in Ogoni-land, Rivers State.

He is a registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and was elected to the Corperate Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in 2010. He is also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE) and Institute of Chattered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).

Engr. Ukeh has served the NSE in the following capacity

  • Member, NSE Media and Publicity Committee -           2020
  • Publicity Secretary, NSE Makurdi Branch -           2014-2016
  • Technical Secretary, NSE Makurdi Brach -           2016-2018
  • Ex- Officio II, NSE Makurdi Branch -           2018-2020

He began the practice of Engineering in 2006 and was appointed a member of the Benue State Projects Monitoring and Implementation Committee (BSPIMC) from 2007 to 2012. He joined the service of the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) where he is currently a Senior Standards Engineer at the SON National Metrology Institute, Enugu.

His contribution to the NSE is so enormous that he was given the NSE Makurdi Branch Chairman’s commendation for his generous contribution towards the sponsoring of Student Members of the Branch to the World Engineering Conference on Sustainable Infrastructure (WECSI) which held in Abuja from 2nd – 7th November 2014.

Engr. Ukeh is happily married and blessed with four children.

MISSION STATEMENT

To avail support for the pursuit of the goals and objectives of the great and honourable Nigerian Society of Engineers and to ensure strict adherence to the Codes and Standard of the Engineering practice.
