NOTIFICATION OF START OF 2026/2027 FINANCIAL YEAR

Distinguished Engineer,
Please
accept my warm courtesies and sincere good wishes for thriving lives and
endeavours for everyone of us, on behalf of the Council of the Nigerian Society
of Engineers (NSE).
This
is to formally notify all Members, Associates and Stakeholders that the 2025/2026
financial year of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) ended on June
30, 2026.
Appreciation
I
use this opportunity to specially appreciate all members, especially financial
members, for their cooperation and continued support by the prompt payment of
their annual dues as well as participation in programmes and activities of the
Society.
As
we step into the new 2026/2027 financial year (July 1, 2026
– June 30, 2027), I would like to respectfully remind all Members,
Associates and Corporate Firm Members of our obligations to the Society. I
encourage us all to reconcile outstanding dues and new subscriptions to enable
full access to all benefits accrued to financial members. These benefits
include:

participate in the MCPD courses organised by the Society and recognised by
COREN.
- Eligibility to exercise your franchise
(being able to vote and be voted for) at the Society’s National, Branch
and Division elections.
- Eligibility to attend the Society’s
Annual General Meetings.
- Meeting the eligibility requirements for
Fellowship of the Society
- Meeting the eligibility requirements for
Life Membership of the Society, when due.
- Being in good professional standing with
the Society, evidenced by the issuance of an Identity e-Card.
- Access to a community of seasoned
Engineers for professional interactions amongst one another at Branch,
Division, and National levels.
- Advisory services and guidance to members
on a wide range of matters relevant to their involvements with and
development in the profession.
- Access to benevolent fund maintained by
the Society for members in certain distress situations.
- Access to travel discounts via the NSE
website.
- Eligibility to a letter of Reference/Good
Standing from the Society upon request, amongst many others.
NSE Members’ App
Recall
that the NSE Membership App, an innovative mobile platform designed to create
easy and convenient access to various resources and services for members was launched
last year. The App eases access to your membership portal, provides important
notifications and eases payment of membership dues.

note that your new year’s financial due has been set on your account on the Membership

You
may also wish to note that all corporate members who have attained membership
of Fifteen (15) years and above and have been registered with COREN for Ten (10) years are eligible to apply for
upgrade to the Fellowship grade, which is the highest membership cadre of NSE.

2026
International Engineering Conference
Preparations
are already at top level for the Society’s flagship event which is the 2026
edition of the annual International Engineering Conference & Exhibition as
well as the 59th Annual General Meeting. Please be reminded that this year’s
event will hold in Maiduguri, Borno State from November 30 – December 4, 2026
with the theme “Engineering Innovation for Enhanced Security and
Sustainable National Development”.
