DISCLAIMER:
ENGR. PRISCA KANEBI, FNSE
This is to bring to the attention of members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the general public, that Engr. Prisca Kanebi, FNSE, is no longer the Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers (NIPetE), which is a Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
The Council of the NSE is compelled at this point to issue this Disclaimer, following the refusal of Engr. Prisca Kanebi, FNSE, to vacate her position upon the expiration of her tenure as Chairman and to conduct election to elect new officers into the leadership of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers.
Consequently, therefore, rising from its 253rd meeting held on April 10, 2025, the Executive Committee (EXCO) of the NSE, acting on behalf of the Council, has dissolved the Executive Committee led by Engr. Prisca Kanebi, FNSE, and constituted a Caretaker Committee comprising of the following persons to pilot the affairs of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers (a Division of the NSE):
- Joe Nwakwue, FNSE – Chairman
- Dr. Yetunde Aladeitan, FNSE – Member
- Ajiri Ogedegbe, FNSE – “
- Debo Fagbami, MNSE – “
- Prof. Olalekan Olafuyi MNSE – “
Esteemed members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the general public are hereby advised to henceforth desist from entering into any transaction with Engr. Prisca Kanebi, FNSE, parading in the guise of Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers. She no longer represents the interest of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers and, by implication, the Nigerian Society of Engineers in general, and do not have the authority of the Council of the NSE to act on its behalf.
Members of the NSE and the general public are notified to liaise only with the officers listed above on any professional issue regarding the Institution.
