ENGINEER ALIYU IBRAHIM, MNSE
Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim MNSE was born on 15th June, 1965 in Dutsinma Town of Katsina State in the Northwestern part of Nigeria. He had his Primary [1972-1978] and Secondary [1978-1983] Education in Dutsinma Town. He proceeded to Katsina Polytechnic now Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic [1984-1986] for his National Diploma and letter to the famous Kaduna Polytechnic [1992-1994] for his Higher National Diploma. Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim proceeded to Bayero University Kano where he had both his Postgraduate Diploma [2004-2006] in Civil Engineering and Masters of Engineering in the year [2007-2011] in the same B.U.K. Engr. Aliyu is now a Director in the Katsina State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport Headquarters, Civil Engineering Department.
Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim started his carrier as an Engineer from Kano Branch that registered him in 2008 and letter to Katsina his home State in 2014. The branch was then at dormancy. A group of some young Engineers led by Engineer Ibrahim Abubakar revived the branch to active life in 2014. Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim was elected the treasurer of the branch. The branch becomes vibrant with young Engineers and growing membership.
In 2016 Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim contested and was subsequently elected as the Branch Chairman. Under the stewardship of Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim the branch witnessed tremendous achievements as follows:
- The Branch Secretariat was recovered from Government occupation. It was rehabilitated furnished and labeled as the Nigerian Society of Engineers Complex Katsina. It houses offices and conference hall, all fully furnished and air-conditioned with a standby generator.
- We rose from the bottom of the group dynamics competition last year to the middle (34th position) and determined to be in the first ten this year 2018 God willing.
- Relationship was rekindled with the State Government early this year 2018. Prior to this, there was no love lost between the Government and the Society.
The Society has visited the Governor His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari CFR and offered free Consultancy Services in the Government developmental Programmes. The Governor happily accepted the offer. The branch has since conducted the services and propose technical recommendations and advices to Government, report hereby attached. This we call, Cooperate Social Responsibility. As a symbol of appreciation, the Governor invited the Society for an (Iftar) fast breaking this past Ramadan.
Engr. Aliyu Ibrahim as a Chairman saw to the establishment of an examination center in the State as a proof of membership drive. The first exam took place on 27th September, 2018. The Chairman travelled as far as Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi States for membership drive and invite candidates to his examination center. Rewardingly they all obliged.

(i) NImechE - on 22nd November,2018
(II) NICE - on 7th August, 2018
And the branch is still pregnant with the third baby NIEEE which will soon be delivered God willing.
With the above score card, I am today seeking for your mandate to vote me as an EXCO (Executive Committee Member) and give me the privilege to replicate my success in the Katsina Branch to the National and of course do more with your support and my experience.

MISSION STATEMENT
My mission as an Executive Committee Member of our great and honorable Professional Association the Nigerian Society of Engineers (N.S.E.) is to work with the President, the Executive Committee Members, and the Council to give our members the best benefit of the local content order 5 recently signed by Mr. President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
I will also strive towards in re-orienting NSE to become and remain a core professional body it is supposed to be. NSE must set the phase of Engineering professional in Africa comparable with the best found anywhere else, so that others will emulate and follow.
