Engr. Alkali Abba Tijjani, was born on the 7th July, 1977 to the family of Alkali AbisoGana of Blessed memory. Abba Tijjani started his early education in Mafoni Primary School Maiduguri and later Central Primary School Gwoza and passed out with flying colours in 1989 and was admitted to the famous exchange programmed school and was posted to Unity School Karaye, Kano State.

Engr. Abba Tijjani attended the prestigious Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri where he bagged the National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology in the year 2000.

However, Engr. Abba Tijjani in his quest for knowledge he was enrolled at the prestigious University of Maiduguri to study B.Engr. Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Engr. Alkali Abba Tijjani attended the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN) for a post graduate course on power generation, Transmission and Distribution as well as leadership and management course at the Centre for Management Development (CMD) Shangisha Badagary Lagos State between 2012/2013.

Engr. Alkali Abba Tijjani started working with the Nigerian Naval Engineering College Sepele as a Technical Instructor in Weapon Electrical Engineering School in the year 2008.

Engr. Abba Tijjani took up another appointment with the Borno State Government in year 2009 as an Electrical Engineer and was posted to Ministry of Works and Transport Headquarters.

Engr. Alkali Abba Tijjani is a registered engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), member Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE) and also a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (FNIEEE) and member American Society of Civil engineers (MASCE)

Engr. Abba Tijjani is a bridge builder and dogged person which give him the ability to adopt and assimilate with diverse people anywhere in the globe.

Engr. Alkali Abba Tijjani served in different capacity at the branch level and division level, worthy of mention are assistant general secretary, ex officio and a Pioneer Chairman of Maiduguri Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in 2016 and later National membership Secretary and national vice chairman (Telecommunication and ICT) at the National level, between 2017 to 2019.

He was elected as a statutory audit committee member and later became the chairman of the committee in 2020.

He always exhibit high level of professionalism and decorum while handling any issue relating  to Engineering Practice.

Engr. Abba during his sojourn he was involve in many projects, some of the project were as follows:

• Member Technical Committee in the implementation of multimedia micro teaching laboratory across the 54 College of Education in
• Member technical team in the construction of Block of classroom across the 27

L.G.A of Borno State.

• Member Technical Committee in the construction of 500 housing Unit by the Borno State Government
• Member Technical Committee for the design and installations of streetlight system within the Maiduguri
• Member Sub-Technical Committee for the Assessment of the Burnt Maiduguri International Hotel,
