VACANT POSITION AT THE NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a leading professional Organization in Nigeria with over fifty thousand members is desirous of recruiting competent, self-motivated and result-oriented candidates to fill the vacant positions listed below. The location of employment is the National Engineering Centre, Abuja.

  1. Job Title: PROTOCOL OFFICER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage diplomatic relations with government officials, ambassadors, and international organizations.
  • Coordinate courtesy calls, meetings, and visits.
  • Ensure adherence to protocol guidelines and international diplomatic norms.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute high-profile events (receptions, conferences, ceremonies).
  • Manage event logistics (venue, catering, transportation, security).
  • Ensure timely and efficient coordination with stakeholders.
  • Logistics and Administration.
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for visiting dignitaries.
  • Manage protocol-related documentation (invitations, letters, certificates).
  • Maintain up-to-date records of protocol activities.
  • Provide guidance on protocol procedures and etiquette.
  • Advise on cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural communication.
  • Conduct research on protocol-related matters.
  • Liaise with government agencies, embassies, and international organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Humanities with Specialisation in International Relations, Diplomacy, Communications, or other related fields.
  • 1-8 years of experience in protocol, diplomacy, or event management.
  • Knowledge of international protocol, diplomacy, and cultural etiquette.

REMUNERATION

NSE GL 7

The remuneration shall be as in the Nigerian Society of Engineers Employee Manual.
