The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), a leading professional organisation in Nigeria with over sixty thousand members, is desirous of recruiting competent, self-motivated and result-oriented candidates to fill the vacant positions listed below. The location of employment is the National Engineering Centre, Abuja.
- Job Title: DOCTOR
Job Responsibilities
- Providing medical care to staff who are ill.
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards by maintaining ill staff confidentiality, obtaining informed consent for treatment and following guidelines for medical billing and coding
- Clear communication with ill staff to ensure they understand their conditions, treatment options and any necessary lifestyle changes.
- Documentation and maintaining accurate medical records of ill staff information, treatment plans, medications prescribed and any other relevant information.
- Collaboration with colleagues to ensure comprehensive care for patients which may involve consulting with specialists or referring ill staff to other healthcare providers as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, treatment guidelines and technological advancements.
- Maintain professionalism and integrity at all times. This includes treating ill staff and colleagues with respect, being punctual for appointments and addressing any patient concerns or complaints in a timely and compassionate manner
Qualifications
- MBBS degree
- NYSC or exemption certificate
- Communication and computer skills are required
Remuneration

The remuneration shall be as in the Nigerian Society of Engineers Employee manual.
- Job Title: NURSE
Job Responsibilities:
- Providing patients with information about their conditions, medications, treatments and preventive care measures.
- Support doctors by preparing ill staff for examinations, taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and assisting with procedures and treatments
- Administer medications, including injections and intravenous therapies, and educate the ill staff about proper medication use and potential side effects.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for ill staff assessments, treatments provided, medications administered, and any other relevant information in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Performing various administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, managing referrals, obtaining insurance authorisations, and handling billing and coding
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, such as specialists, pharmacists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for ill staff.
- Handling incoming calls from ill staff, providing guidance, assessing symptoms, and determining whether ill staff need to be seen in the office or if their concerns can be addressed over the phone
- Nurses must be prepared to respond to medical emergencies that may occur in the office setting, such as allergic reactions, cardiac events or respiratory distress, by providing immediate care and coordinating emergency services as needed
- Nurses play a key role in preventing the spread of infections within the office setting by adhering to infection control protocols, promoting hand hygiene and educating patients and staff about infection prevention measures

Qualifications
- A degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program, e.g. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Knowledge of occupational health
- Communication and administrative skills
